Service Agreement

These terms govern your use of Northern Health Equity Consulting (NHEC) services and website.

Service Scope

Professional Consulting:

  • Health equity assessments and strategic planning

  • Community engagement and advisory development

  • Cultural safety training and organizational development

  • Policy development and advocacy support

  • Speaking engagements and thought leadership

Community Access Program:

  • Services provided under separate Community Access Policy

  • Eligibility determined through application process

  • Subject to capacity and sustainability limitations

Quality Commitment:

  • Services delivered according to professional standards

  • Evidence-based methodologies and approaches

  • Culturally responsive and community-accountable practices

  • Ongoing professional development and competency maintenance

Confidentiality:

  • Professional confidentiality for all client information

  • Secure handling of sensitive community information

  • Clear consent processes for any information sharing

  • Respect for Indigenous data sovereignty principles

Professional Standards

Engagement:

  • Provide accurate information necessary for service delivery

  • Participate actively in agreed-upon project activities

  • Respect cultural protocols and community consent processes

  • Provide timely feedback and project communication

Payment (Premium Services):

  • Payment according to agreed-upon terms

  • Additional costs for scope changes require prior agreement

  • Travel and accommodation costs as specified in agreements

Client Responsibilities

Services are provided with professional care and competency. NHEC's liability is limited to the cost of services provided.

Limitation of Liability

Intellectual Property

NHEC Methodologies:

  • NHEC retains ownership of general consulting frameworks

  • Clients receive usage rights for their organizational implementation

  • Community-specific adaptations remain with communities

Community Knowledge:

  • Communities retain ownership of their traditional knowledge and data

  • Joint ownership for collaboratively developed materials

  • Community consent required for any external sharing

Either party may terminate service agreements with appropriate notice. Community Access Program eligibility may be reassessed annually.

These terms are governed by Ontario law and Canadian federal legislation.
